ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS PROGRAM

Alliance Achievement Awards program has been established to
recognize member systems, officials and personnel for extraordinary
individual and system achievements. The Alliance is now soliciting
nominations for awards in the following categories Nominations
are due by in mid August and awards will be presented the MPUA Annual
Conference.
John
"Tom" Tinsley Distinguished
Service Award
An
official of a member system who has provided distinguished service
to the Alliance organizations for at least 10 years.
Gary
L. Whorton Personal Service Award
An
employee of an Alliance system who has actively participated in the
Alliance for at least five years and whose special public or
community service has been a credit to public utilities.
Richard
E. Malon Public Service Award
A
publicly elected or appointed official whose activities have
furthered the objectives of municipal utilities.
System
Achievement Award
A
member utility providing exceptional quality of improvements in
service to its customers.
Public
Official Award
An
elected or appointed member of a policy board or commission of any
Alliance member system who has actively participated in the Alliance
for at least five years.
Seven
Hats Award
A
manager of a member utility serving not more than 2,500 electric
meters who has demonstrated special skill in specific multiple areas
of responsibility.
Paul
Jensen Individual
Achievement Award
An
employee of an Alliance member utility who has been an active
participant in Alliance affairs for at least 5 years and
accomplished special achievements for his/her utility.
Buddy
Bennett Community
Service Award
An
Alliance member utility with special achievements or sustained
performance improving the quality of life in its community.
Century
Award
Acknowledges
municipal electric utilities that have served their consumers and
community continuously for 100 years.
Honor
Award
Any
official or employee of an Alliance member system with at least 10
years of exceptional service in municipal utilities.
Safety
Award
Structured
after APPA Safety Award for hours of work without reportable
accidents.
