The Missouri Public Utility Alliance, through MAMU, represents Alliance member utilities at the state legislature. By being active participants in the legislative process, the Association is able to keep members informed of
any new or changing laws.

The MAMU Legislative Committee meets monthly during the legislative session to review legislation and establish the legislative policy for the organization. Participation on the committee is open to all MAMU members.

New Legislative Districts

The Missouri Appellate Apportionment Commission
filed new state Senate and House of Representatives
redistricting plans and maps with the Missouri Secretary
of State based on the 2010 census. This is only the
second time in state history that a judicial panel
has redistricted both chambers of the General Assembly.
